do I measure for a new patio awning? Find an area on the front and rear of your coach 3 inches wide, with no obstruction from roof to floor, to mount your arms. Make sure your arms do not obstruct any windows, doors, or access doors. Awnings are made to mount into the floor and roofline, on most units, so finding struts is not always necessary. Make sure you can mount the brackets evenly at the top and bottom of the RV. Once you've found were it should be mounted measure from center of mounting area to center of mounting area, this will give you your awning length. |
How do I measure for a new awning fabric? If you need new fabric, measure from center to center of the awning arms. Do not measure the canvas or tube, that is not necessary. |
How do I measure for a new window awning? Measure the outside dimensions of your window frame and add about 6 to 8 inches to your windows length, this will tell your awnings length. |
